Best option. One script for every widget on the page, styles sealed inside a shadow root so nothing on your site can break it and it cannot break anything of yours.
<!-- Perfect My Wedding: Date checker -->
<a href="https://perfectmywedding.com/supplier/sam-and-jo" data-pmw-fallback>Sam & Jo on Perfect My Wedding</a>
<div data-pmw="availability" data-slug="sam-and-jo"></div>
<script async src="https://perfectmywedding.com/embed.js"></script>The plain link on the first line is deliberate. Search engines do not reliably follow links a script writes in, so the crawlable one has to be in your page source. The widget hides it once it has loaded, and your visitors never see it.
Why bother
It is worth more to you than it is to us
Which is the only reason to ask. Four things it does on your side of the fence.
Fewer dead enquiries
Someone who can see you are booked on their date does not email you about their date. That is the single most common waste of your evening.
Your reviews stop rotting
Most supplier websites have three testimonials from 2019. This one updates itself every time a couple leaves a review.
Your prices stay current
Change them once here and every site showing your widget is right the same minute.
Bookings, not enquiries
Traffic you already had, converting into a booking with the money held and the date locked, instead of a message thread that goes cold.
And, honestly, what we get
Every widget carries a link back to Perfect My Wedding. That is the deal, and we would rather say it than pretend otherwise. You get a tool that works whether or not it helps us; we get found by the couples already on your website. Nobody has to be misled for that to be worth doing.
Where it works
Any platform
WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, plain HTML
Use the script version. Paste it into a custom HTML block wherever you want it to appear.
Squarespace, Wix, GoDaddy
Use the iFrame version. These platforms strip script tags on most plans, so the iFrame is the reliable route.
Email signatures, PDFs, anywhere else
Use the image badge. It is a plain picture wrapped in a link, so it renders in absolutely everything.
